The Desert Hills Motel

Much better hotel than we had expected! The outside could be improved but the rooms were really spacious and the tv huge! There are microwaves and refrigerators in every room and the entire place is much cleaner than you would expect. 10/10 would definitely stay here again.

The location is great( fast food and gas station really close by),rooms are clean and the service is excellent. I would DEFINITLY recommend staying here if you come to Las Vegas.My room has great AC and everything works well. I give the Desert Hills 5 stars ..

The room was much better then we had expected. The manager was very helpful and seemed genuinely interested in making our stay pleasant. Don't judge by the outside the rooms are clean upgraded and comfy. I would recommend room 127.

Under renovations the suites are very nice with full sized refrigerators(stainless) microwaves and shower head(over-head) no tub was the kicker. I would recommend 5* the pool is located front & center of the motel. As the "work in progress" continues to raise the bar here in in downtown Vegas our City is amazing..I have no complaints & the rates are right on with the current market. Very satisfied. The check in process was easy. There was a required deposit of $100. It was charged at the same time as the room, and I did not have to do anything special for the refund of the deposit. It goes right back to the card after a few days. The motel grounds are kept clean, paint is in great shape. Nice modern colors. The room was a non smoking room and I did not detect any old smoke residue smell at all, like I have in other motels. Air conditioner worked well, and was running on our arrival. Fridge was cold also. Sheets and comforter were spotless. And although there was more dust built up on the furnishings than at my home, lol, the actual surfaces that come in contact with your belongings are clean and not dusty at all. The carpet however, left the bottoms of our feet black. Very large shower with decent water pressure, but didn't personally like the shower head being in the ceiling. Felt the water pressure should have been stronger for that setup. Hot water is governed. I would definitely stay again. Would recommend to friends.

Room was very nice. Not a whole lot of noise to keep you awake at night. Was disappointed to find the pool was closed. Also getting your deposit back is a mess otherwise. Nice place

The room decor was very unique. There was an antique looking red microwave & fullsize red refrigerator and had blue walls and traffic signs on the walls Stop, Yield, One-Way Route 66 etc...The white walls were ragged looking could use sanding then a good paint job. There were other ragged looking spots but the room was clean & comfy. The outside looks like a typical motel not an attention grabber but it was the cheapest price I found for a Fri. nite for booking less than a week.

It's a motel people, it's also ran by very caring and motivated people and that should matter to you. Stacey the manager went out of her way to try to make sure we had a room available for us, as the site like Expedia showed sold out. She knew that rooms were available and went the extra mile to make sure we are taken care of. Really awesome when people actually care now. Great place!
